Dr. Katherine Phillips is a graduate of Los Angeles Chiropractic College. She is focusing her post graduate studies within the functional neurology field through the Carrick Institute. Dr. Phillips will be sitting the American Chiropractic Neurology Board diplomate exam in November of 2018.
Prior to entering chiropractic school Dr. Phillips was assistant coach for track and field and cross country at Johns Hopkins University. She coached multiple national championship qualifiers in the distance events. Dr. Phillips has served as a consultant to USA Paralympic Cycling and the USA Triathon Collegiate Development Program.
Dr. Phillips is active in the local Tucson community. She organizes Brain Bunch, a multidisciplinary neuroscience professional group. She founded the Tucson Triathlon Business Association, served as a board member for the Tucson Tri Girls and a volunteer coach for Better Than Ever, the run/walk group at Arizona Cancer Center.
As an athlete Dr. Phillips has represented Team USA at several triathlon and aquathlon world championships. Additionally, she holds an undergraduate degree from California State University at San Marcos, where she competed on the track and field and cross country teams under Steve Scott, former American record holder in the mile.
Her husband, Captain Allan Phillips currently serves in the United States Army Medical Specialist Corps. Allan is enrolled in the South College Physical Therapy program, class of 2019.
